Each one carries the hand of the House: considered proportions, crisp edges, a finish cared for right into the corners. Untouched by rust and lighter than steel of the same size, the material comes in eight RAL colours for the planters and pots, fountains, water basins and log stores. Aluminium planters and pots: ten designs for planting
Ten designs make up the family. Cybèle sets down a clean cube, from a 400 mm planter to a large format 1400 mm square; Thalie lifts it on four corner legs; Rhéa and Gaïa, bottomless, open onto the ground below for bamboo and grasses; Déméter draws a line of up to two metres; Maïa is divided into regular compartments; Iris assembles its triangles into squares, diamonds or friezes. Three pots complete the set: Daphné, flared and slender, Callisto, a pure cylinder, and Clio, a familiar silhouette redrawn with a fine line. All of these aluminium planters arrive bare, ready to plant.

Aluminium fountains: central jets, a cascade and water walls
Five aluminium fountains bring water to life. Alban, square, and Elio, round, send up a spring at the centre of their top; a submersible pump, a stainless steel nozzle and an integrated LED come as standard. Nereida, a two-tier cascade, arrives complete, with pump, LED and closed-loop circuit included. Léandre, a vertical water wall, and Célestin, a water blade mounted high on a wall, are also delivered with their pump and LED lighting: they unfurl a curtain of water that glows at night and, supplied without a receiving basin, are composed with a swimming pool, a reflecting pool or a pond.

Aluminium water basins: still water, as a mirror
For calm water, the House has designed three pieces. The rectangular water basin, in six sizes from 1250 × 800 to 3000 × 2000 mm, and the round basin, in four diameters from 1000 to 2500 mm, are crafted from 4 mm aluminium; the Sélène water bowl, wide and low, comes in five diameters, from 600 to 1500 mm. All three are delivered bare, with no pump or lighting, ready to take the pump of your choice. The rectangular basin can also serve as the receiving basin for Léandre or Célestin.

Aluminium log stores: firewood set in order
Nine models organise the firewood: two columns, with two and three tiers, two tiered models, three grids of four, six and nine compartments, a box without legs and a frame on legs. All stay open at the front, so that air circulates and the wood dries; the columns, the tiered models and the box rest against the wall on their solid backs. Against a façade or close to the fire, each aluminium log store turns a winter ritual into a composition of materials.

Stèle, the aluminium letterbox
Set at the entrance like a contemporary stele, this column mailbox rises 35 × 35 × 120 cm, crafted from 2 mm aluminium and shown in anthracite grey RAL 7016. It weighs around 12 kg and takes post as well as small parcels; the name and number of the house are engraved to order. It is the first piece a visitor discovers: the House has designed it with the care it gives to its major pieces.

Powder-coated aluminium, the House’s signature finish
Every piece receives the Cortenys powder coating, a powder paint baked in an oven that forms a dense surface designed for outdoor use, at 30% gloss, with a satin sheen. On the planters, pots, fountains and water basins, a protective varnish seals it. For the planters, pots, fountains, water basins and log stores, eight RAL colours make up the palette, from white 9016 to black 9005, by way of anthracite grey, blue, green, yellow, red and orange; for the fountains and water basins, other RAL shades can be studied on request. The Stèle letterbox is shown in anthracite grey RAL 7016.

Aluminium outdoor furniture by the sea and around the pool
Right on the coast, the House recommends its powder-coated aluminium pieces, which know nothing of rust; for a piece in direct contact with pool water, they are the most serene choice. A Thalie planter at the edge of the pool, a Sélène water bowl on the coping, a Nereida fountain facing the sea: each piece finds its place there. A single care routine: rinse off the salt regularly with fresh water, with no abrasive products, no wire brush and no pressure washer at close range.

Corten steel furniture, the House’s other material
Every aluminium piece has its counterpart in Corten steel: Cybèle, Alban, Elio, Nereida and the compartment log stores also exist in this living material, in shades of earth and amber, which changes with the seasons. Aluminium or Corten steel: which should you choose for your outdoor space?
It all depends on the setting and the atmosphere you are looking for. Corten steel is a living material, in shades of earth and amber, which changes over the seasons. Powder-coated aluminium knows nothing of rust, weighs less than steel of the same size and dresses our planters, fountains, water basins and log stores in one of eight RAL colours: right on the coast, or in contact with pool water, it is the one the House recommends. Elsewhere, the choice comes down to colour and material; the standard of design and finish remains the same.
Does aluminium outdoor furniture rust?
No. Aluminium does not rust: that is what makes it the material for exposed gardens. Our planters, pots, fountains and water basins also resist corrosion, under a powder coating sealed with a protective varnish; our log stores, powder-coated too, remain untouched by rust, winter after winter.
What is powder-coated aluminium?
Powder coating is a powder paint, baked in an oven, that forms a dense, durable surface on the metal. At Cortenys, it takes the name of the Cortenys finish: 30% gloss, with a satin sheen. The planters, pots, fountains, water basins and log stores receive it in one of our eight RAL colours, the Stèle letterbox in anthracite grey RAL 7016; on the planters, pots, fountains and water basins, a protective varnish seals it.
Can aluminium furniture be placed by the sea or near a swimming pool?
Yes, it is in fact the material the House recommends right on the coast. For a piece in direct contact with pool water, a fountain that spills into it or a water bowl set on the coping, it is the most serene choice. Salt simply calls for regular rinsing with fresh water.
How do you care for aluminium outdoor furniture?
Simply. Rinsing with fresh water and a soft sponge are enough, especially by the sea, where salt settles. Never use abrasive products, a wire brush or a pressure washer at close range. For fountains, remove leaves regularly and follow the model’s instructions; for water basins, keep the water clear and renewed.
Which RAL colours are available for aluminium furniture?
For the planters, pots, fountains, water basins and log stores, eight RAL colours: white 9016, anthracite grey 7016, black 9005, blue 5001, yellow 1005, green 6018, red 3020 and orange 2004. Black, shown in most of our photographs, sets off the green of the planting and the reflection of the water; the bold shades turn a log store or a planter into an accent of colour. For fountains and water basins, other RAL shades can be studied on request; the Stèle letterbox is shown in anthracite grey RAL 7016.
Is aluminium furniture easy to move?
Size for size, aluminium weighs less than steel, and our planters can be moved where a stone or concrete container would stay put. A few benchmarks, format by format: the Sélène water bowl 1200 mm in diameter weighs 6.6 kg, the two-tier log column 1500 mm high, 14.6 kg, the Stèle letterbox, around 12 kg. The large pieces weigh more: 95 kg for the 2500 × 1250 mm rectangular water basin, 112.8 kg for the Nereida cascade fountain.

Yes. Each piece is designed in France, crafted in Europe by a partner manufacturer and made for you to order, never taken from stock. The lead time is confirmed when you order, with free delivery to your door. All are covered by the two-year Cortenys guarantee from delivery, which covers manufacture and assembly.
