On this page, the water is on the move. Alban sends up a central jet inside a Corten steel cube; Elio, an overflow cylinder offered in ten sizes, lets water rise to the brim and sheet down all the way round. Nereida, a two-tier cascade, carries water from one bowl down to the other. All three come with a pump and LED lighting. Installing a Corten garden fountain
Choose the spot from the views you have from the house, then prepare a firm, level base suited to the weight of the piece once filled. A water feature with a pump and LEDs needs a power supply: plan how the cable will reach the spot and leave the pump accessible for maintenance. Patina and care
Every Corten water feature arrives already dressed in the Cortenys signature patina, applied in our workshop. A Corten steel water piece is looked after like a pond: clear leaves and debris and top up the water in warm weather. Around a pale pool edge or paving, splashes may mark the stone: a bed of gravel protects the stone; the protective varnish, optional on selected models, greatly reduces this without ruling it out. Near the coast, Nereida also exists in powder-coated aluminium.
FAQ
Fountain, water wall or basin: what is the difference?
A fountain moves the water as a jet or a cascade; a water wall lets it slide down a vertical blade; a basin, with no pump, holds a calm reflecting surface.
Do I need a power supply?
Yes, for models with a pump and LEDs, such as Alban, Elio and Nereida. The connection is best planned before installation.
Is a Corten water feature suitable by the sea?
Salt spray stops the patina from stabilising. Close to the coast we recommend our powder-coated aluminium pieces, including the Nereida cascade fountain.

We deliver standard pieces, including Cortenys Editions, in 6 to 12 weeks after order confirmation. For bespoke pieces, we allow 8 to 13 weeks, with the schedule stated in the quotation.

Does a Corten steel fountain use a closed-loop system?
Yes, the water circulates in a loop. In Elio and Alban, it rises, flows over the piece and falls back into a concealed reservoir, where the submersible pump sets it moving again; Nereida is supplied with its own closed-loop circuit.
Which sizes are available?
Each product page lists the available dimensions and options. Bespoke sizes require an assessment.
Can Corten steel stain paving?
Runoff can carry patina residue. Protect pale paving and check whether the model offers an optional protective varnish, which greatly reduces runoff without ruling it out.
How should I prepare for delivery?
Check the terms for your address, access routes and the handling equipment needed for your chosen piece.
Is Corten steel painted?
Cortenys keeps the natural patina of Corten steel. An optional protective clear varnish is available on selected pieces; even varnished, Corten steel can still leave run-off and stain floors and terraces, so we recommend protecting pale surfaces.
Is a Corten steel water feature a good choice for a garden?
Yes: Corten needs no paint, and each water feature arrives already dressed in our signature patina. The steel itself needs no treatment, only care for the water. Plan a firm, level base for the filled weight and, where needed, a power supply. Day to day, clear leaves and debris and top up the water in warm weather. On pale paving, a gravel bed or small spacers help prevent marks; the optional varnish strongly reduces them but does not rule them out.
