Material and patina
The Cortenys signature patina. Applied to the Corten steel in the workshop: your piece arrives patinated, ready to take its place in your setting.
- Material
- 2 mm Corten steel
- Cortenys signature patina, no varnish
- Supplied with the Cortenys signature patina: every piece has shades of its own, which deepen over the seasons with very little upkeep.
- Protective varnish
- Applied in the workshop over the Cortenys signature patina, the varnish sets it and deepens its tones with a subtle satin finish. It greatly reduces rust run-off but does not rule it out: protect the floor (small feet, spacers or a drip tray).
Delivery
Made to order. Never held in stock. Every Corten steel piece enters production when your order is received, its signature patina brought to maturity by our artisans so it reaches you in perfect condition and in the depth of its most beautiful shades. Allow 6 to 12 weeks from order confirmation to delivery, which is complimentary. This creation time is the signature of the House.
Returns and warranty
Fourteen days to change your mind, return at our expense.
Every piece is guaranteed for two years against manufacturing and assembly defects.
Care
Our Corten steel pieces receive the Cortenys signature patina in the workshop, before delivery: they never reach you bare, left to weather at home. Indoors, a protective varnish is essential; even varnished, the steel can still mark a light or porous floor, so we recommend protecting it. For everything else, follow the care recommendations for your piece and its finish.
Secure payment. No bank details ever pass through the House.

The Cortenys signature patina
The character of Corten steel. From day one.
The Cortenys signature patina is applied in the workshop, before delivery, to every Corten steel piece. Where Corten usually takes months to acquire an uneven patina, your piece arrives already dressed in deep, controlled shades. Its appearance then evolves according to the chosen finish, exposure and local conditions. For care, follow the recommendations specific to your piece and its finish.

Six-sided log store in Corten steel
A honeycomb cell for the winter woodpile.
This hexagonal log store in Corten steel borrows its form from the honeycomb cell: a six-sided volume, faceted and open, set directly on the ground. The logs settle into its angles, and the stack, framed by the opening, reads as a sculpture of wood and metal in which the coppery, amber patina of the Corten answers the pale cut ends of the logs. On a terrace or a lawn, it keeps firewood ready for the first fires of the season and gives the garden an unexpected figure, at once natural and built.
01 / Sylvain
Six sides that meet without a single edge catching the eye: this is the kind of detail by which a Cortenys piece is recognised. The hexagon is shaped from 2 mm Corten steel, made to order to see out the seasons. The signature patina, applied by Cortenys before delivery, shifts in nuance from one facet to the next. Air flows freely through the cell, and the logs dry at their own pace.
02 / Sylvain
Sylvain takes its name from the forest, and still carries its memory. Conceived as a decorative piece as much as a place to store wood, it brings the Corten steel log store into the realm of sculpture. Designed in France and crafted in Europe, it is intended for those who believe a garden deserves pieces as accomplished as those in the living room. A form noticed from afar, and never forgotten.
