This aluminium log box brings firewood storage back to its essence: a clean, deep volume set on the ground, its front fully open. With no shelf and no divider, its single volume holds the logs in a loose pile, and the stack, free and generous, reads like a composition of materials in which the pale fibres stand out against the powder-coated metal. At the foot of a wall, on the terrace or near the fireplace, it keeps the supply ready with a graphic bearing of great restraint.

Reducing a piece of furniture to a single volume forgives nothing: every proportion shows, every edge counts. Cortenys has therefore given this box the care it reserves for its most elaborate designs. Robust and naturally corrosion-resistant, the aluminium is given the Cortenys finish here: a durable RAL powder coating designed for outdoor use, whose 30% gloss gives the volume a restrained sheen. At the front, everything is open so the stack can breathe and the wood can dry; at the back, the solid panel of the aluminium box rests against the wall.
