- Supplied with the Cortenys signature patina: every piece has shades of its own, which deepen over the seasons with very little upkeep.
- Protective varnish
- Applied in the workshop over the Cortenys signature patina, the varnish sets it and deepens its tones with a subtle satin finish. It greatly reduces rust run-off but does not rule it out: protect the floor (small feet, spacers or a drip tray).
Delivery
Made to order. Never held in stock. Every Corten steel piece enters production when your order is received, its signature patina brought to maturity by our artisans so it reaches you in perfect condition and in the depth of its most beautiful shades. Allow 6 to 12 weeks from order confirmation to delivery, which is complimentary. This creation time is the signature of the House.

Every piece is guaranteed for two years against manufacturing and assembly defects.
Care
Our Corten steel pieces receive the Cortenys signature patina in the workshop, before delivery: they never reach you bare, left to weather at home. Indoors, a protective varnish is essential; even varnished, the steel can still mark a light or porous floor, so we recommend protecting it. For everything else, follow the care recommendations for your piece and its finish.

Where Corten usually takes months to acquire an uneven patina, your piece arrives already dressed in deep, controlled shades. Square window in Corten steel
A window onto the material.
This Corten steel window module cuts a clean square into the landscape. Set at the heart of a woodpile, built into a low wall or raised as a garden screen, its patinated frame works with whatever it surrounds: here the tight stack of logs, there a glimpse of the garden beyond. Light passes through it, the Corten patina underlines its edges, and the play of solid and void turns a simple frame into a piece of architecture.

Its strength lies in its compactness. Made to order in 2 mm Corten steel, solid without ostentation, it keeps a generous depth that allows it to stand alone, be stacked or be built into a structure at will. The signature patina, applied in the workshop, gives it its rich colour from day one, and every module arrives with its own range of nuances. Through its opening, it ventilates the wood it shelters and helps it dry.

In a square, everything shows: the right angle, the thickness, the grain of the patina. Cortenys therefore treats this module with the rigour a master cabinetmaker brings to a fine frame, and it is this exacting standard, far more than any claim, that sets its Corten steel furniture apart. We deliver standard pieces, including Cortenys Editions, in 6 to 12 weeks after order confirmation. For bespoke pieces, we allow 8 to 13 weeks, with the schedule stated in the quotation.
