Frequently asked questions

Can you make a bespoke Corten steel planter or raised bed?

Yes, subject to review: you can send us a request for a planter, a raised bed or any other piece sized for your setting. The House assesses each request for feasibility, proportions, steel thickness and its place in the workshop calendar; selected projects are then designed with you. Before applying, check the dimensions and options of our planters: one of the existing sizes may already suit you.

How is a bespoke piece priced?

Every bespoke project receives a tailored quotation, based on dimensions, thickness, complexity and finish. In your request, you can include an optional indicative budget: dimensions and budget can then be discussed together.

What is the lead time for a bespoke piece?

Once the order is confirmed, allow 4 to 8 weeks for delivery; the exact lead time is stated in the quotation. Each piece then receives careful inspection of its joints and finish.

What should I include in my application?

The setting, its dimensions and the intention behind your project. The form asks for the project type and a description of your project, its setting and your expectations; proposed dimensions and an indicative budget are optional. You can attach a plan, a sketch or an inspiration image as a PDF, up to 3 MB.

Is a bespoke request an order?

No: it is an application, not an order. The House reviews every request for feasibility and workshop availability, and accepts only a limited number of projects each year. Selected projects are designed with you; the order follows, on the basis of a quotation.

Can a bespoke piece go indoors?

Yes, with the protective varnish, which is required indoors: it fixes the signature patina and strongly reduces rust transfer, without ruling it out. We recommend protecting the floor with felt pads or a tray, and avoiding direct contact with light or porous surfaces. Outdoors, we help you choose the option best suited to your project and its supporting surface. Either way, the piece leaves the workshop with the Cortenys signature patina already applied.

Our retail prices in UAE dirhams include delivery to the United Arab Emirates, VAT, customs duties and import taxes. Each piece is made to order and reaches you within 4 to 8 weeks.
