The Cortenys signature patina is applied in the workshop, before delivery, to every Corten steel piece. Where Corten usually takes months to acquire an uneven patina, your piece arrives already dressed in deep, controlled shades. Its appearance then evolves according to the chosen finish, exposure and local conditions. For care, follow the recommendations specific to your piece and its finish.

Corten steel water basin
The mirror in which the garden admires itself.
Narcissus is a rectangular water basin in Corten steel that turns a simple sheet of water into a mirror. Its name recalls the young man of the myth, leaning over a spring until he could no longer tear himself away; the basin has the same effect. No jet, no cascade: a calm, almost motionless surface that gathers the sky, the light and the planting, framed by crisp lines that give structure to the whole garden.
01 / Narcissus
All the work is done beforehand, so that the water has nothing left to do but rest. The basin is crafted in Europe, to order, in 3 mm Corten steel; in the workshop it then receives the Cortenys signature patina, delivered in its shades of earth, amber and deep rust. Where others sell a trough, the House composes a Corten reflecting pool, its earth-toned walls lending the water a dark, almost mineral depth. A protective varnish is available as an option to set the patina and simplify maintenance.
02 / Narcissus
Offered in 12 sizes, up to 4000 mm long, Narcissus suits a patio as readily as a sweeping landscape vista. No pump or lighting is supplied, and that is a deliberate choice: used alone, it becomes a reflecting pool; paired with one of the House’s water blades and a pump chosen for your project, it becomes their receiving basin. A Corten steel water basin built to last, the kind you always end up pausing before, like Narcissus at the edge of his spring.
