Material and patina
The Cortenys signature patina. Applied to the Corten steel in the workshop: your piece arrives patinated, ready to take its place in your setting.
- Material
- Corten steel
- Cortenys signature patina, no varnish
- Supplied with the Cortenys signature patina: every piece has shades of its own, which deepen over the seasons with very little upkeep.
- Protective varnish
- Applied in the workshop over the Cortenys signature patina, the varnish sets it and deepens its tones with a subtle satin finish. It greatly reduces rust run-off but does not rule it out: protect the floor (small feet, spacers or a drip tray).
Delivery
Made to order. Never held in stock. Every Corten steel piece enters production when your order is received, its signature patina brought to maturity by our artisans so it reaches you in perfect condition and in the depth of its most beautiful shades. Allow 6 to 12 weeks from order confirmation to delivery, which is complimentary. This creation time is the signature of the House.
Returns and warranty
Fourteen days to change your mind, return at our expense.
Every piece is guaranteed for two years against manufacturing and assembly defects.
Care
Our Corten steel pieces receive the Cortenys signature patina in the workshop, before delivery: they never reach you bare, left to weather at home. Indoors, a protective varnish is essential; even varnished, the steel can still mark a light or porous floor, so we recommend protecting it. For everything else, follow the care recommendations for your piece and its finish.
Secure payment. No bank details ever pass through the House.

The Cortenys signature patina
The character of Corten steel. From day one.
The Cortenys signature patina is applied in the workshop, before delivery, to every Corten steel piece. Where Corten usually takes months to acquire an uneven patina, your piece arrives already dressed in deep, controlled shades. Its appearance then evolves according to the chosen finish, exposure and local conditions. For care, follow the recommendations specific to your piece and its finish.

Corten privacy screen
Harmattan, Corten steel swept by the wind of the savannah.
Blowing out of the Sahara across West Africa in the dry season, the harmattan sets the tall grasses of the savannah rippling, and this Corten steel decorative wall borrows its movement. Its motif interlaces lively lines that cross in every direction, like grasses caught mid-sway. Dense yet open, it filters the view without blocking it and becomes, along a path or at the far end of the garden, a privacy screen of rare elegance.
01 / Harmattan
That elegance is no accident. Corten steel was long confined to engineering works and industrial façades; Cortenys works it as a decorative material in its own right. Designed in France and crafted in Europe by a partner manufacturer, this panel is made to order. Because the Cortenys signature patina is applied in the workshop, it arrives already alive with its colours (burnt earth, amber, deep rust) and shows its full range of nuance from the day it is installed.
02 / Harmattan
As the day moves on, the light slips between the lines and sets the whole panel quivering, like air shimmering above scorched ground. Season after season, the Corten lives on and gains in depth, like a rock slowly polished by the wind. This is Corten steel without compromise: a presence, far more than a decoration.
