Care
Our Corten steel pieces receive the Cortenys signature patina in the workshop, before delivery: they never reach you bare, left to weather at home. Indoors, a protective varnish is essential; even varnished, the steel can still mark a light or porous floor, so we recommend protecting it. For everything else, follow the care recommendations for your piece and its finish.

Where Corten usually takes months to acquire an uneven patina, your piece arrives already dressed in deep, controlled shades. Aurore, a column of fire in openwork Corten steel.
Aurore is an outdoor fire lantern in Corten steel, a tall column crowned with finely cut openwork, a foliage motif drawn in soft, rounded curves. By day it stands as a sculpture that gives the garden its structure; in the evening, the flame sheltered at its summit blooms through the cutwork and casts a warm, shifting, lace-like light all around. Aurore takes its name from the first light of day, and yet it is at nightfall that it comes into its own.
01 / Aurore
Laser cut with extreme precision, the openwork traces foliage in soft curves and filters the flame like steel lace. Such finesse only makes sense if the material is equal to it. Aurore is therefore made to order in Corten steel worked with the care of fine craftsmanship, then finished in the workshop with the Cortenys signature patina, in tones of earth, amber and deep rust. Each Corten steel lantern thus develops reflections of its own, stirred by the flame. Placed along a path, on a terrace or at the heart of a flower bed, it holds a candle or a decorative fire.
