- Comes with the signature CORTENYS patina, which is of exceptional quality: each piece has its own unique shades, which deepen over the seasons with very little upkeep.
- Protective varnish
- Applied in the workshop over the Cortenys signature patina, the varnish sets it and deepens its tones with a subtle satin finish. It greatly reduces rust run-off but does not rule it out: protect the floor (small feet, spacers or a drip tray).

Every Corten steel piece enters production when your order is received, its signature patina brought to maturity by our artisans so it reaches you in perfect condition and in the depth of its most beautiful shades. Allow 6 to 12 weeks from order confirmation to delivery, which is complimentary. This creation time is the signature of the House.

Care
Our Corten steel pieces receive the Cortenys signature patina in the workshop, before delivery: they never reach you bare, left to weather at home. Indoors, a protective varnish is essential; even varnished, the steel can still mark a light or porous floor, so we recommend protecting it. For everything else, follow the care recommendations for your piece and its finish.

Where Corten usually takes months to acquire an uneven patina, your piece arrives already dressed in deep, controlled shades. This Corten steel planter divides its volume into regular compartments, like a kitchen garden laid out with a string line. Low and crisp, it gives each square to a single species: herbs sit beside perennials, grasses beside seasonal flowers, and none of them ever compete for soil. The Corten patina, somewhere between rust, sienna and amber, frames the whole and turns the planting into a living picture. In the middle of a terrace, beside a pond or among the borders, it brings a kitchen garden of almost architectural rigour, revealed by low light and deepened by dusk.

A planter rarely receives such attention; Cortenys nonetheless gave this one a goldsmith’s care, from the division of the volume to the thickness of the metal and the patina. Its 2 mm of Corten steel give it unwavering strength; the Cortenys signature patina, applied before dispatch, is already alive on the metal when it arrives, and every piece carries its own range of shades. The compartments keep root systems apart, allow targeted watering and let you replant one square at a time without disturbing the rest. The optional Cortenys protective varnish stabilises the colour of the patina and greatly reduces rust transfer, without ruling it out: on a terrace with pale paving, raise the planter on spacers to protect the stone.

We deliver standard pieces, including Cortenys Editions, in 6 to 12 weeks after order confirmation. For bespoke pieces, we allow 8 to 13 weeks, with the schedule stated in the quotation.
