Material and patina
The Cortenys signature patina. Applied to the Corten steel in the workshop: your piece arrives patinated, ready to take its place in your setting.
- Material
- 1.5 mm Corten steel
- Cortenys signature patina, no varnish
- Supplied with the Cortenys signature patina: every piece has shades of its own, which deepen over the seasons with very little upkeep.
- Protective varnish
- Applied in the workshop over the Cortenys signature patina, the varnish sets it and deepens its tones with a subtle satin finish. It greatly reduces rust run-off but does not rule it out: protect the floor (small feet, spacers or a drip tray).
Delivery
Made to order. Never held in stock. Every Corten steel piece enters production when your order is received, its signature patina brought to maturity by our artisans so it reaches you in perfect condition and in the depth of its most beautiful shades. Allow 6 to 12 weeks from order confirmation to delivery, which is complimentary. This creation time is the signature of the House.
Returns and warranty
Fourteen days to change your mind, return at our expense.
Every piece is guaranteed for two years against manufacturing and assembly defects.
Care
Our Corten steel pieces receive the Cortenys signature patina in the workshop, before delivery: they never reach you bare, left to weather at home. Indoors, a protective varnish is essential; even varnished, the steel can still mark a light or porous floor, so we recommend protecting it. For everything else, follow the care recommendations for your piece and its finish.
Secure payment. No bank details ever pass through the House.

The Cortenys signature patina
The character of Corten steel. From day one.
The Cortenys signature patina is applied in the workshop, before delivery, to every Corten steel piece. Where Corten usually takes months to acquire an uneven patina, your piece arrives already dressed in deep, controlled shades. Its appearance then evolves according to the chosen finish, exposure and local conditions. For care, follow the recommendations specific to your piece and its finish.

Corten steel planter
The geometry of the garden, traced in Corten steel.
This triangular Corten steel planter brings a bold geometry to the garden: a right triangle whose warm patina turns the planting into a living picture. It fills the corners that ordinary containers leave empty. Slipped into the corner of a terrace, lined up along a wall or grouped to form patterns, it structures the space with graphic rigor. Foliage spills over the triangle and falls against sides tinted rust, sienna and amber. In the morning, low light brings out the grain of the patina; in the evening, the triangle melts into a warm shadow.
01 / Iris
Its design is that of an isosceles right triangle: one long side, two equal sides and a right angle that sits exactly in a corner. This is what allows this Corten planter to combine almost endlessly: two triangles joined along their long sides form a square, several line up into a frieze. Made from 1.5 mm Corten steel, it leaves the workshop already finished in the Cortenys signature patina, with shades unique to each planter. An optional varnish stabilizes the patina and greatly reduces rust transfer, without ruling it out: on pale paving, small feet or spacers are still recommended. Delivered empty, it comes in eight versions across two heights, up to 1400 mm on the long side.
02 / Iris
Where others see only a corner planter, Cortenys sees a building block for compositions. Designed in France, crafted in Europe and made to order, this Corten steel planter receives, at every edge, every proportion and every shade of patina, the care a master cabinetmaker would give to a piece of furniture. A different take on the Corten steel planter: an architectural module rather than a mere container, shaping your outdoor space for years to come.
