Rhéa
A clean, deep structure, placed directly on the ground, that outlines a perfect square of greenery on the lawn or soil. The CORTENYS bottomless planter frames the plants rather than containing them: open at the bottom, it allows the roots to grow directly into the soil. Whether on a manicured lawn, within a vibrant flower bed, or at the heart of a contemporary rock garden, it casts a clean geometric silhouette—a dark, graphic line—around thriving foliage. In daylight, its smooth surfaces shimmer with captured light; at dusk, its substantial form adds dramatic depth to the scene.
Crafted from 3 mm aluminum—sturdy and resistant to both corrosion and freezing—it features a signature CORTENYS powder-coat finish sealed with a protective varnish in a rich, deep RAL 9005 Black (Glossy finish, 30% gloss level). Its open-bottom design is intentional: plants take root in the natural soil, ensuring ideal drainage and deep growth—where a closed planter would limit root volume. Placed directly on soil or grass, it defines a flower bed, border, or perfectly shaped planting area. The lightweight aluminum makes it effortless to handle and reposition.

Then its patina will become yours. Your climate, your light and your seasons will write its nuances year after year: two examples of the same design are never quite alike, and yours will resemble no other in the world.
