Material and patina
The Cortenys signature patina. Applied to the Corten steel in the workshop, then sealed with an included protective varnish.
- Material
- Corten steel, solid wood
- Protective varnish
- Workshop-applied to Corten steel surfaces to seal the patina and enhance its depth. It greatly reduces rust marks without ruling them out: protect the floor (felt pads, small feet or a saucer). Other materials retain their own finish.

Returns and warranty

Care
Our Corten steel pieces receive the Cortenys signature patina in the workshop, before delivery: they never reach you bare, left to weather at home. Indoors, a protective varnish is essential; even varnished, the steel can still mark a light or porous floor, so we recommend protecting it. For everything else, follow the care recommendations for your piece and its finish.

The Corten steel parts are delivered varnished. The varnish sets the signature patina and clearly limits rust transfer, without ruling it out: we recommend protecting the floor before installation, especially if it is light or porous.

The Cortenys signature patina
The character of Corten steel. From day one.
The Cortenys signature patina is applied in the workshop before delivery, then the Corten steel parts receive a protective varnish. The varnish enhances and stabilises the patina and strongly reduces rust transfer, but does not rule it out: even varnished, Corten steel can still release runoff and stain floors and terraces, especially light or porous ones. We recommend protecting the floor before installation: small feet or spacers, or a drip tray, under pieces that stand on the floor, protection for the floor or table below a wall or pendant light, no direct contact with light surfaces, and wiping away any runoff promptly. Follow the varnish care advice to keep it at its best.

Silas
Corten steel coffee table
Wood and Corten steel, two materials that breathe.
Silas is a coffee table in Corten steel and solid wood, designed for the Cortenys Creations collection. Two thick beams, laid side by side, form the top; at each end, an open steel frame carries and joins them, letting the wood breathe and the floor show through. Nothing is concealed: the piece reads at a glance, like a timber frame.
01 / Silas
Each frame is made in Corten steel, to order, and receives the Cortenys signature patina in the workshop, its shades of earth, amber and deep rust echoing the brown tones of the wood. No two tables are ever quite alike. Grain and patina answer each other without ever merging: it is in this balance that Corten steel leaves its industrial origins behind and earns its place in the living room, as refined as the wood it carries.
02 / Silas
Three lengths are offered. Facing a picture window, on a deep rug or in a mountain living room, Silas brings the warmth of a joiner’s workshop and the poise of a work of art. Here, material and line carry equal weight.
