Dorian
DORIAN is a coffee table designed by the House of Cortenys. A square Corten steel box carries a top of black marble veined with white, whose fine overhang underlines the line; the recessed base clears the shadow beneath the table and gives the volume an unexpected lightness for a piece of this mass.
The box is crafted in Corten steel and delivered with the signature Cortenys patina, in warm shades of earth, amber and deep rust: each piece develops reflections of its own, in dialogue with the veins of the marble. Three square formats are offered.
In front of a sofa, between two Hestia armchairs or at the centre of a large living room, Dorian plays the part of the cornerstone.
