- Supplied with the Cortenys signature patina: every piece has shades of its own, which deepen over the seasons with very little upkeep.
- Protective varnish
- Applied in the workshop over the Cortenys signature patina, the varnish sets it and deepens its tones with a subtle satin finish. It greatly reduces rust run-off but does not rule it out: protect the floor (small feet, spacers or a drip tray).

Made to order. Never held in stock. Every Corten steel piece enters production when your order is received, its signature patina brought to maturity by our artisans so it reaches you in perfect condition and in the depth of its most beautiful shades. Allow 6 to 12 weeks from order confirmation to delivery, which is complimentary. This creation time is the signature of the House.

Care
Our Corten steel pieces receive the Cortenys signature patina in the workshop, before delivery: they never reach you bare, left to weather at home. Indoors, a protective varnish is essential; even varnished, the steel can still mark a light or porous floor, so we recommend protecting it. For everything else, follow the care recommendations for your piece and its finish.

Where Corten usually takes months to acquire an uneven patina, your piece arrives already dressed in deep, controlled shades. Its appearance then evolves according to the chosen finish, exposure and local conditions. For care, follow the recommendations specific to your piece and its finish.

Corten steel water basin

Narcisse is a rectangular water basin in Corten steel that turns a simple sheet of water into a mirror. Its name recalls the young man of the myth, leaning over a spring until he could no longer tear himself away; the basin has the same effect. No jet, no cascade: a calm, almost motionless surface that gathers the sky, the light and the planting, framed by crisp lines that give structure to the whole garden.
01 / Narcisse
All the work is done beforehand, so that the water has nothing left to do but rest. The basin is crafted in Europe, to order, in 3 mm Corten steel; in the workshop it then receives the Cortenys signature patina, delivered in its shades of earth, amber and deep rust. Where others sell a trough, Cortenys creates a Corten reflecting pool, its earth-toned walls lending the water a dark, almost mineral depth. A protective varnish is available as an option to set the patina and simplify maintenance. Even varnished, the steel can still mark pale or porous stone around the pool: protect the surface at its foot.
02 / Narcisse
Offered in 12 sizes, up to 4000 mm long, Narcisse suits a patio as readily as a sweeping landscape vista. No pump or lighting is supplied, and that is a deliberate choice: used alone, it becomes a reflecting pool; paired with one of Cortenys’ water blades and a pump chosen for your project, it becomes their receiving basin. A Corten steel water basin built to last, the kind you always end up pausing before, like Narcissus at the edge of his spring.
