Borée is a Corten steel decorative wall that gives the garden its architecture, even when the planting recedes. It takes its name from Boreas, the Greek god of the north wind, who strips the trees and lays bare the design of a place.

Material and patina

The Cortenys signature patina. Applied to the Corten steel in the workshop: your piece arrives patinated, ready to take its place in your setting.

Material
Corten steel
Cortenys signature patina, no varnish
Supplied with the Cortenys signature patina: every piece has shades of its own, which deepen over the seasons with very little upkeep.
Protective varnish
Applied in the workshop over the Cortenys signature patina, the varnish sets it and deepens its tones with a subtle satin finish. It greatly reduces rust run-off but does not rule it out: protect the floor (small feet, spacers or a drip tray).
Delivery

Made to order. Never held in stock. Every Corten steel piece enters production when your order is received, its signature patina brought to maturity by our artisans so it reaches you in perfect condition and in the depth of its most beautiful shades. Allow 6 to 12 weeks from order confirmation to delivery, which is complimentary. This creation time is the signature of the House.

Returns and warranty

Fourteen days to change your mind, return at our expense.

Every piece is guaranteed for two years against manufacturing and assembly defects.

Care

Our Corten steel pieces receive the Cortenys signature patina in the workshop, before delivery: they never reach you bare, left to weather at home. Indoors, a protective varnish is essential; even varnished, the steel can still mark a light or porous floor, so we recommend protecting it. For everything else, follow the care recommendations for your piece and its finish.

The Cortenys signature patina

The character of Corten steel. From day one.

The Cortenys signature patina is applied in the workshop, before delivery, to every Corten steel piece. Where Corten usually takes months to acquire an uneven patina, your piece arrives already dressed in deep, controlled shades. Its appearance then evolves according to the chosen finish, exposure and local conditions. For care, follow the recommendations specific to your piece and its finish.

Borée

Corten steel decorative wall

The north wind, captured in Corten steel.

Borée is a Corten steel decorative wall that gives the garden its architecture, even when the planting recedes. It takes its name from Boreas, the Greek god of the north wind, who strips the trees and lays bare the design of a place. That is when the panel takes over: its graphic motif orders the space, frames a view and holds the eye while the borders sleep. In the low winter light, the Corten patina gains a depth that summer barely hinted at.

01 / Borée

Luxury furniture is judged by what it keeps in winter: its bearing, its colour, its precision. Every Cortenys decorative wall is designed in France, crafted in Europe by a partner manufacturer and made to order, then finished with the Cortenys signature patina, applied in the workshop and checked before delivery. Nothing is left to the whims of the first rains: you receive Corten steel that is already alive, in shades of earth, amber and rust that will deepen over the seasons.

02 / Borée

At the end of a garden, along a terrace or as a partition between two spaces, Borée stands with quiet authority. An optional varnish stabilises the patina for those who want it unchanging and greatly reduces run-off without ruling it out, so pale paving is still best protected; without it, the panel remains unsealed Corten, its patina free to evolve. Either way, it expresses what Cortenys expects of outdoor Corten steel furniture: fewer objects, more presence, and a material at last treated as a collector’s piece.
