Care
Our Corten steel pieces receive the Cortenys signature patina in the workshop, before delivery: they never reach you bare, left to weather at home. Indoors, a protective varnish is essential; even varnished, the steel can still mark a light or porous floor, so we recommend protecting it. For everything else, follow the care recommendations for your piece and its finish.

Where Corten usually takes months to acquire an uneven patina, your piece arrives already dressed in deep, controlled shades. Its appearance then evolves according to the chosen finish, exposure and local conditions. For care, follow the recommendations specific to your piece and its finish.

Stella, a star of fire in a cube of Corten steel.
Stella is a fire lantern in Corten steel, drawn as a perfect cube whose top is pierced with a botanical lattice of straight lines. By day, its clean, almost architectural silhouette brings order to the terrace; at nightfall, the flame nestled inside the cube shines through the lattice and sets a warm, lace-like light twinkling all around. Stella lives up to its name: a star set at table height.

Uncompromising work on Corten shows in the details: lines that cross without faltering, a laser cut of great exactness, a patina whose depth time alone could not give. Made to order, Stella arrives already wearing the Cortenys signature patina, the fruit of the workshop’s craft; on each Corten lantern, its tones of earth, amber and deep rust take on reflections of their own, rekindled by the flame. Fitted with a candle or a decorative fire, it finds its place on a terrace, beside garden seating or among the flower beds.

We deliver standard pieces, including Cortenys Editions, in 6 to 12 weeks after order confirmation. For bespoke pieces, we allow 8 to 13 weeks, with the schedule stated in the quotation.
