Nyx is a Corten steel fire pit designed by Cortenys, a creation that favours the horizontal over the vertical. A wide square basin, edged with a fine raised rim, narrows beneath the top towards a recessed base, so that the piece seems to levitate.

Care
Our Corten steel pieces receive the Cortenys signature patina in the workshop, before delivery: they never reach you bare, left to weather at home. Indoors, a protective varnish is essential; even varnished, the steel can still mark a light or porous floor, so we recommend protecting it. For everything else, follow the care recommendations for your piece and its finish.

Where Corten usually takes months to acquire an uneven patina, your piece arrives already dressed in deep, controlled shades. Its appearance then evolves according to the chosen finish, exposure and local conditions. For care, follow the recommendations specific to your piece and its finish.

Nyx is a Corten steel fire pit designed by Cortenys, a creation that favours the horizontal over the vertical. A wide square basin, edged with a fine raised rim, narrows beneath the top towards a recessed base, so that the piece seems to levitate. At its centre, a straight slot holds the line of fire.

The Cortenys signature patina, applied in the workshop before delivery, blends earth, amber and deep rust; from one piece to the next, the Corten steel never takes on quite the same reflections. Its low profile lets it continue the line of the paving or of a pool; after dark, the Corten basin becomes a sheet of light in the middle of the terrace. Three square sizes are offered, and every piece is crafted in Europe, to order.
02 / Nyx
This fire pit does not rise, it spreads: a fire at ground level, to be watched seated, reclining or from inside the house. Everything rests on the fineness of a rim and the setback of a base: a couture-level precision through which Cortenys turns Corten steel into a collector’s piece.
The videos show a styled setting. The bioethanol and styling accessories are not included with the product.
