Material and patina
The Cortenys signature patina. Applied to the Corten steel in the workshop: your piece arrives patinated, ready to take its place in your setting.
- Material
- Corten steel
- Cortenys signature patina, no varnish
- Comes with the signature CORTENYS patina, which is of exceptional quality: each piece has its own unique shades, which deepen over the seasons with very little upkeep.
- Protective varnish
- Applied in the workshop over the Cortenys signature patina, the varnish sets it and deepens its tones with a subtle satin finish. It greatly reduces rust run-off but does not rule it out: protect the floor (small feet, spacers or a drip tray).
Delivery
Made to order. Never held in stock. Every Corten steel piece enters production when your order is received, its signature patina brought to maturity by our artisans so it reaches you in perfect condition and in the depth of its most beautiful shades. Allow 6 to 12 weeks from order confirmation to delivery, which is complimentary. This creation time is the signature of the House.
Returns and warranty
Fourteen days to change your mind, return at our expense.
Every piece is guaranteed for two years against manufacturing and assembly defects.
Care
Our Corten steel pieces receive the Cortenys signature patina in the workshop, before delivery: they never reach you bare, left to weather at home. Indoors, a protective varnish is essential; even varnished, the steel can still mark a light or porous floor, so we recommend protecting it. For everything else, follow the care recommendations for your piece and its finish.
Secure payment. No bank details ever pass through the House.

The Cortenys signature patina
The character of Corten steel. From day one.
The Cortenys signature patina is applied in the workshop, before delivery, to every Corten steel piece. Where Corten usually takes months to acquire an uneven patina, your piece arrives already dressed in deep, controlled shades. Its appearance then evolves according to the chosen finish, exposure and local conditions. For care, follow the recommendations specific to your piece and its finish.

Tramontane
Corten steel decorative panel
A Corten steel landmark to hold your course.
Every garden needs a landmark, and Tramontane, a Corten steel decorative wall, plays that role. Coming from beyond the mountains, the tramontane is a north wind; Mediterranean sailors also gave the name to the Pole Star, and to “lose the tramontane” was to lose one’s course. This panel does quite the opposite: its graphic motif gives the garden rhythm, anchors the eye and lends a view, a path or a terrace the point of reference it lacked.
01 / Tramontane
Cortenys, too, holds a course: never to treat Corten as an ordinary material. Its Corten steel decorative walls are born of a French design and take shape in Europe, to order, with a partner manufacturer, before receiving the Cortenys signature patina in the workshop. On Tramontane, the shades of earth and amber are in place from delivery, and time will only deepen them.
02 / Tramontane
In the garden, on a terrace or as a partition, this Corten steel landmark marks an axis and holds it from one season to the next. Between a sheet of metal set down in a garden and a true element of landscape architecture lies the whole distance that Cortenys sets out to cover: it is what turns a Corten decorative panel into a piece of luxury outdoor furniture.
