Material and patina
The Cortenys signature patina. Applied to the Corten steel in the workshop: your piece arrives patinated, ready to take its place in your setting.
- Material
- Corten steel
- Cortenys signature patina, no varnish
- Supplied with the Cortenys signature patina: every piece has shades of its own, which deepen over the seasons with very little upkeep.
- Protective varnish
- Applied in the workshop over the Cortenys signature patina, the varnish sets it and deepens its tones with a subtle satin finish. It greatly reduces rust run-off but does not rule it out: protect the floor (small feet, spacers or a drip tray).
Delivery
Made to order. Never held in stock. Every Corten steel piece enters production when your order is received, its signature patina brought to maturity by our artisans so it reaches you in perfect condition and in the depth of its most beautiful shades. Allow 6 to 12 weeks from order confirmation to delivery, which is complimentary. This creation time is the signature of the House.
Returns and warranty
Fourteen days to change your mind, return at our expense.
Every piece is guaranteed for two years against manufacturing and assembly defects.
Care
Our Corten steel pieces receive the Cortenys signature patina in the workshop, before delivery: they never reach you bare, left to weather at home. Indoors, a protective varnish is essential; even varnished, the steel can still mark a light or porous floor, so we recommend protecting it. For everything else, follow the care recommendations for your piece and its finish.
Secure payment. No bank details ever pass through the House.

The Cortenys signature patina
The character of Corten steel. From day one.
The Cortenys signature patina is applied in the workshop, before delivery, to every Corten steel piece. Where Corten usually takes months to acquire an uneven patina, your piece arrives already dressed in deep, controlled shades. Its appearance then evolves according to the chosen finish, exposure and local conditions. For care, follow the recommendations specific to your piece and its finish.

Floral motif in Corten steel
Under the south wind, Corten steel comes into flower.
Auster is a Corten steel decorative panel named after the Romans’ south wind, the one that rises heavy with warmth and brings gardens into bloom. Its motif tells the story: large open flowers, foliage and supple stems curl freely, cut in openwork through the metal. Set at the back of a terrace, behind a long table or against a bare wall, it makes the place flower in every season and turns it into an open-air living room.
01 / Auster
The warmth of Auster also lies in its patina. Applied in the workshop before the panel leaves, the Cortenys signature patina blends earth, amber and rust with a depth that mere exposure to the weather takes seasons to approach. Designed in France and crafted in Europe to order, this Corten steel decorative wall is overseen piece by piece, from the cutting of the motif to the final nuance of patina.
02 / Auster
So many garden ornaments fade after their first summer; these flowers grow deeper with every season. Corten shows itself here at its most beautiful: it catches the midday sun and returns it as coppery glints at dusk, while the sky shows through the petals. For those with an unerring eye, Auster makes Corten steel the soul of the terrace.
