Material and patina
The Cortenys signature patina. Applied to the Corten steel in the workshop: your piece arrives patinated, ready to take its place in your setting.
- Material
- Corten steel
- Cortenys signature patina, no varnish
- Comes with the signature CORTENYS patina, which is of exceptional quality: each piece has its own unique shades, which deepen over the seasons with very little upkeep.
- Protective varnish
- Applied in the workshop over the Cortenys signature patina, the varnish sets it and deepens its tones with a subtle satin finish. It greatly reduces rust run-off but does not rule it out: protect the floor (small feet, spacers or a drip tray).
Delivery
Made to order. Never held in stock. Every Corten steel piece enters production when your order is received, its signature patina brought to maturity by our artisans so it reaches you in perfect condition and in the depth of its most beautiful shades. Allow 6 to 12 weeks from order confirmation to delivery, which is complimentary. This creation time is the signature of the House.
Returns and warranty
Fourteen days to change your mind, return at our expense.
Every piece is guaranteed for two years against manufacturing and assembly defects.
Care
Our Corten steel pieces receive the Cortenys signature patina in the workshop, before delivery: they never reach you bare, left to weather at home. Indoors, a protective varnish is essential; even varnished, the steel can still mark a light or porous floor, so we recommend protecting it. For everything else, follow the care recommendations for your piece and its finish.
Secure payment. No bank details ever pass through the House.

The Cortenys signature patina
The character of Corten steel. From day one.
The Cortenys signature patina is applied in the workshop, before delivery, to every Corten steel piece. Where Corten usually takes months to acquire an uneven patina, your piece arrives already dressed in deep, controlled shades. Its appearance then evolves according to the chosen finish, exposure and local conditions. For care, follow the recommendations specific to your piece and its finish.

Corten steel terrace wall
When the setting sun awakens Corten steel.
Ponant, a Corten steel decorative wall whose graphic silhouette gives the garden rhythm, comes into its own at sunset. In the old language of the sea, the ponant is the west, where the sun goes down, and the wind that blows from it. Facing west, at the end of a terrace where evenings linger, this panel catches the slanting light of the last hours: the earth and amber tones of its Corten patina grow warmer, and the motif stands out in sharp shadow against the sky.
01 / Ponant
At Cortenys, nothing comes out of anonymous stock. Ponant is designed in France, crafted to order by a partner manufacturer in Europe, and receives the Cortenys signature patina in the workshop. This Corten decorative panel thus reaches you already complete, with a warm and lasting presence, when so many others are merely a sheet of steel left at the mercy of the rain.
02 / Ponant
In the garden as on the terrace, as a backdrop or a partition, it becomes the setting for summer dinners and long evenings. This is what Cortenys makes of Corten steel: a material born of industry becomes a piece of luxury garden furniture, one you look at every evening as you would a painting.
