Rectangular aluminum planter
This rectangular aluminum planter draws a long, dark, continuous line through the garden. Bamboo, grasses and shrubs rise from it as a living curtain: a natural screen that marks out a terrace, follows the edge of a pond or separates two spaces without ever closing them off. Its generous height leaves the roots a comfortable volume. In sunlight the black lacquer returns a measured sheen; at dusk, it brings out every shade of green.
01 / Déméter
The standards that guide Cortenys do not change with the material. Its 3 mm aluminum, designed to withstand corrosion, receives a Cortenys signature powder coating sealed under a protective varnish: a RAL 9005 Black of great depth, at 30% gloss with a satin sheen. Its elongated form carries structural planting, in rows or in massed groups, and its lightness, compared with steel of the same dimensions, makes this aluminum planter box easy to handle and reposition.
02 / Déméter
Designed in France, crafted to order in Europe and offered in three lengths up to two meters, this planter extends the Cortenys world into a more graphic register. It is not a box to be filled but a line to be planted. For those who expect an aluminum planter to hold its own as a true design object, this is outdoor furniture in its clearest form.
