Care
Our Corten steel pieces receive the Cortenys signature patina in the workshop, before delivery: they never reach you bare, left to weather at home. Indoors, a protective varnish is essential; even varnished, the steel can still mark a light or porous floor, so we recommend protecting it. For everything else, follow the care recommendations for your piece and its finish.

The Cortenys signature patina is applied in the workshop, before delivery, to every Corten steel piece. Where Corten usually takes months to acquire an uneven patina, your piece arrives already dressed in deep, controlled shades. Its appearance then evolves according to the chosen finish, exposure and local conditions. For care, follow the recommendations specific to your piece and its finish.

Corten steel wall fireplace
Fire, hung on the wall like a work of art.
Ignis is a wall-mounted fireplace in Corten steel, a Cortenys design made for the wall rather than the floor. A long, shallow rectangular trough fixes to the wall and opens at the top; the line of fire runs its full length and lights the wall from bottom to top. A stone façade or a boundary wall then becomes a glowing backdrop.
01 / Ignis
In the workshop, the metal receives the Cortenys signature patina, somewhere between earth, amber and deep rust, so that no two wall fireplaces share quite the same reflections. With no footprint on the ground, it frees up the terrace and brings the flame level with the seating. Designed in France, this Corten fireplace comes in three lengths, crafted in Europe to order.
02 / Ignis
Hung on the wall, Ignis makes the wall itself the setting for the fire and gives the terrace back its whole surface. A stroke of Corten steel, a line of light: Cortenys has reduced the outdoor fireplace to its purest gesture, then refined it with a cabinetmaker’s care.
The videos show a styled setting. The bioethanol and styling accessories are not included with the product.
