Material and patina
The Cortenys signature patina. Applied to the Corten steel in the workshop: your piece arrives patinated, ready to take its place in your setting.
- Material
- Corten steel
- Cortenys signature patina, no varnish
- Supplied with the Cortenys signature patina: every piece has shades of its own, which deepen over the seasons with very little upkeep.
- Protective varnish
- Applied in the workshop over the Cortenys signature patina, the varnish sets it and deepens its tones with a subtle satin finish. It greatly reduces rust run-off but does not rule it out: protect the floor (small feet, spacers or a drip tray).
Delivery
Made to order. Never held in stock. Every Corten steel piece enters production when your order is received, its signature patina brought to maturity by our artisans so it reaches you in perfect condition and in the depth of its most beautiful shades. Allow 6 to 12 weeks from order confirmation to delivery, which is complimentary. This creation time is the signature of the House.
Returns and warranty
Fourteen days to change your mind, return at our expense.
Every piece is guaranteed for two years against manufacturing and assembly defects.
Care
Our Corten steel pieces receive the Cortenys signature patina in the workshop, before delivery: they never reach you bare, left to weather at home. Indoors, a protective varnish is essential; even varnished, the steel can still mark a light or porous floor, so we recommend protecting it. For everything else, follow the care recommendations for your piece and its finish.
Secure payment. No bank details ever pass through the House.

The Cortenys signature patina
The character of Corten steel. From day one.
The Cortenys signature patina is applied in the workshop, before delivery, to every Corten steel piece. Where Corten usually takes months to acquire an uneven patina, your piece arrives already dressed in deep, controlled shades. Its appearance then evolves according to the chosen finish, exposure and local conditions. For care, follow the recommendations specific to your piece and its finish.

Southern spirit in Corten steel
The southern sun, held in Corten steel.
Sirocco brings the warmth of long southern summers into the garden, captured in a Corten steel decorative wall. The wind that gave it its name crosses the sea from Africa and brings Sicily and Malta their scorching days; this panel has kept their light. Its Corten patina, where earth mingles with amber and rust, recalls the fired roof tiles and sun-warmed stone of Mediterranean houses, and sets the graphic motif vibrating when the sun strikes it full on.
01 / Sirocco
Sirocco shows what Corten steel can become when it is worked with exacting care. Cortenys sees it not as a construction metal but as a collector’s material: each Corten decorative panel is designed in France and crafted in Europe by a partner manufacturer, made to order, then finished in the workshop with the Cortenys signature patina. Checked before it leaves, this patina reaches you fully realized, instead of leaving rust to settle at the mercy of the weather.
02 / Sirocco
In the garden, at the edge of a terrace or standing as a partition, it forms a warm backdrop for olive trees, lavender and rock-garden plants. To keep these warm tones as they were on the first day, an optional varnish stabilizes the patina and greatly reduces run-off, without ruling it out: pale paving at the foot of the panel is still best protected. Sirocco thus sums up Cortenys’ ambition for outdoor Corten steel furniture, conceived as true luxury pieces: a material that warms the space, a design that orders it, a piece made to be kept.
