Material and patina
The Cortenys signature patina. Applied to the Corten steel in the workshop: your piece arrives patinated, ready to take its place in your setting.
- Material
- Corten steel
- Cortenys signature patina, no varnish
- Supplied with the Cortenys signature patina: every piece has shades of its own, which deepen over the seasons with very little upkeep.
- Protective varnish
- Applied in the workshop over the Cortenys signature patina, the varnish sets it and deepens its tones with a subtle satin finish. It greatly reduces rust run-off but does not rule it out: protect the floor (small feet, spacers or a drip tray).
Delivery
Made to order. Never held in stock. Every Corten steel piece enters production when your order is received, its signature patina brought to maturity by our artisans so it reaches you in perfect condition and in the depth of its most beautiful shades. Allow 6 to 12 weeks from order confirmation to delivery, which is complimentary. This creation time is the signature of the House.
Returns and warranty
Fourteen days to change your mind, return at our expense.
Every piece is guaranteed for two years against manufacturing and assembly defects.
Care
Our Corten steel pieces receive the Cortenys signature patina in the workshop, before delivery: they never reach you bare, left to weather at home. Indoors, a protective varnish is essential; even varnished, the steel can still mark a light or porous floor, so we recommend protecting it. For everything else, follow the care recommendations for your piece and its finish.
Secure payment. No bank details ever pass through the House.

The Cortenys signature patina
The character of Corten steel. From day one.
The Cortenys signature patina is applied in the workshop, before delivery, to every Corten steel piece. Where Corten usually takes months to acquire an uneven patina, your piece arrives already dressed in deep, controlled shades. Its appearance then evolves according to the chosen finish, exposure and local conditions. For care, follow the recommendations specific to your piece and its finish.

Openwork Corten steel panel
Notos, or the art of letting the rain work the Corten steel.
To the Greeks, Notos was the south wind that brought the warm rains of late summer, and it has lent its name to this Corten steel decorative wall. Its motif keeps the memory: a shower of openwork circles and ovals, from the finest to the widest, scattered across the whole surface like drops on a windowpane. The name is no coincidence, for few materials converse with the rain as Corten does: each shower followed by a burst of sunshine nourishes its patina, which darkens and deepens rather than deteriorating.
01 / Notos
Such a conversation still needed a starting point worthy of it. The first chapter is written in the workshop: the Cortenys signature patina is applied there, and Notos arrives with shades of amber, earth and rust already settled on its Corten steel, which the seasons will go on to deepen. Designed in France, crafted in Europe and made to order, it reflects a level of care more readily associated with the decorative arts than with the garden centre aisle.
02 / Notos
Standing at the end of the garden, near a terrace or between two spaces, it gives rhythm to the view and lets the light filter through. If you prefer a constant tone, the varnish option fixes the patina and greatly reduces run-off, without ruling it out, so pale paving is still best protected; if you like to watch it evolve, leave Notos and the rain to their work. Either way, this is Corten reinvented: a decorative wall that does not age, but matures.
