Care
Our Corten steel pieces receive the Cortenys signature patina in the workshop, before delivery: they never reach you bare, left to weather at home. Indoors, a protective varnish is essential; even varnished, the steel can still mark a light or porous floor, so we recommend protecting it. For everything else, follow the care recommendations for your piece and its finish.

Where Corten usually takes months to acquire an uneven patina, your piece arrives already dressed in deep, controlled shades. Its appearance then evolves according to the chosen finish, exposure and local conditions. For care, follow the recommendations specific to your piece and its finish.

Flora, a flower of light in Corten steel.
Flora is an outdoor lantern in Corten steel, a pure cube whose upper section opens into delicate floral cutwork in rounded forms. On the terrace it lends a graphic presence by day; as evening comes, the flame enclosed in the cube blooms through the openwork flowers and spreads a warm light that flickers and breaks into petals. Flora makes light blossom as night falls.

The whole art of Flora lies in a contrast: the rigour of a cube, the delicacy of a flowering. Laser cut with a goldsmith’s precision, the floral motif softens the flame like embroidery in steel. Made to order, the piece reaches you with the Cortenys signature patina already applied in the workshop; its shades of earth, amber and deep rust give the Corten shifting reflections from one lantern to the next, in harmony with the glow of the fire. Simply place a candle or a decorative fire inside: beside outdoor seating or at the foot of a flower bed, Flora becomes an intimate hearth at table height.

We deliver standard pieces, including Cortenys Editions, in 6 to 12 weeks after order confirmation. For bespoke pieces, we allow 8 to 13 weeks, with the schedule stated in the quotation.
