- Protective varnish
- Workshop-applied to Corten steel surfaces to seal the patina and enhance its depth. It greatly reduces rust marks on the wall without ruling them out: on a pale or porous render, some marks remain possible. Also protect the floor below the wall light. Other materials retain their own finish.

Every piece is guaranteed for two years against manufacturing and assembly defects.
Care
Our Corten steel pieces receive the Cortenys signature patina in the workshop, before delivery: they never reach you bare, left to weather at home. Indoors, a protective varnish is essential; even varnished, the steel can still mark a light or porous floor, so we recommend protecting it. For everything else, follow the care recommendations for your piece and its finish.

Where Corten usually takes months to acquire an uneven patina, your piece arrives already dressed in deep, controlled shades. Its appearance then evolves according to the chosen finish, exposure and local conditions. For care, follow the recommendations specific to your piece and its finish.

Nérite: a glowing ember of Corten steel on the wall.
Nérite is a wall light in Corten steel, designed by Cortenys for exterior walls and entrance halls. Two flat steel panels, folded with sharp edges and cut at an angle at the top, stand side by side without ever touching; between them, an oblique slit releases the light housed behind and traces an incandescent line on the wall.

The whole design rests on the gap between the two panels and the crispness of the folds: this degree of precision, rarely demanded of a light fitting, is what takes Corten steel into another league. Made to order, Nérite is delivered with the Cortenys signature patina applied in the workshop; earth, amber and deep rust play across the Corten, each piece interpreting them in its own way, and the folds catch daylight as readily as the evening light. Three heights are available.
