The Cortenys signature patina is applied in the workshop, before delivery, to every Corten steel piece. Where Corten usually takes months to acquire an uneven patina, your piece arrives already dressed in deep, controlled shades. Its appearance then evolves according to the chosen finish, exposure and local conditions. For care, follow the recommendations specific to your piece and its finish.

Round Corten steel basin
The circle of water you keep coming back to.
Ondine is a round basin in Corten steel, a circular volume of soft, continuous lines that cradles a calm, almost motionless sheet of water. It takes its name from the water spirits of old legends and keeps their discreet presence: no jet, no cascade, only a peaceful surface that holds the sky and the light, and brings the garden a mineral serenity.
01 / Ondine
For this round Corten steel water basin, the House has rethought every detail: the curve of the wall, the strength of the 3 mm steel, the patina. That patina is applied in the workshop, in warm tones where earth and amber give way to deep rust, so that Ondine arrives already alive, rather than waiting seasons for the Corten to reveal itself. The steel circle frames the water like a jewel case and turns this water feature into a collector’s piece. For those who prefer a patina that stays exactly as it is, the House offers an optional protective varnish that fixes it and simplifies maintenance.
02 / Ondine
Four diameters are available, from 1000 to 2500 mm, all 500 mm high: from patio to lawn, the circle keeps its proportions. Ondine is deliberately delivered bare, with no pump or lighting. On its own, it becomes a round, enveloping reflecting pool; it also welcomes a pump and a water feature of your choosing, to bring the surface to life. A basin designed in France and crafted in Europe to order, which gives Corten a delicacy it is rarely credited with.
