Bottomless aluminium planter
Long and open at its base, this bottomless rectangular aluminium planter sits directly on the soil: it outlines the planting instead of enclosing it. Bamboo, grasses or shrubs grow into a disciplined hedge within it, a natural screen to mark the edge of a terrace, border a pond or divide the garden. Free of any base, the roots reach down into open ground and anchor themselves for the long term. Around the foliage, the black lacquer draws a clean, almost graphic outline.
01 / Gaïa
A line this simple leaves no margin for error, and the finish must live up to the design. The 3 mm aluminium body, resistant to corrosion, is clad in the Cortenys signature powder coating, then protected by a varnish; its colour, a RAL 9005 Black with a measured sheen (30% gloss), complements the green of the foliage. Set on the soil, the planter places no limit on rooting and lets water drain away naturally, which suits bamboo and structural plants. Lighter than steel of the same dimensions, it is easy to put in place.
02 / Gaïa
This bottomless aluminium planter comes in three lengths, up to two metres; designed in France and crafted in Europe to order, it carries the rigour of Cortenys and its high-end outdoor furniture into aluminium. Luxury furniture as the House understands it: an impeccable line, and a garden that keeps all its freedom.
